The home simulation space within the McKechnie Family LIFE Home mimics a typical two-bedroom home dwelling, but has the added benefit of a one-way observation area as well as a cutting-edge camera and microphone system. Research participants are able to interact with innovations in the environment in a natural setting and be observed from afar to ensure a natural interaction.
Our collaborative spaces allow for events, classes, community programming, design activities, and more. The highly-flexible spaces can be reconfigured into a multitude of different works and social spaces to promote creativity and collaboration.
The outdoor spaces surrounding the facility provide additional spaces to social, research, and collaborative activities.
